I am the same person who asked How does skin protect against infection but I don%26#039;t like Elle%26#039;s answer for How does skin protect against infection. Also, don%26#039;t put hard words, make them simple.|||Skin is the bodies first line of defense. The different layers of skin literally block bacteria like a forcefield. Bacteria lives on our skin because it cant get in. When the skin is broken, or germs find a way in through the mouth, nose etc, we get sick. If we had no skin, we would get so sick so fast, the we would not live. That is why 3rd degree burn patients need to be put in a sterile room sometimes.
The top layer (dead epidermis) sheds off the skin every moment, taking all the bacteria with it. This keeps them from staying on too long.
Without skin you could not process waste and your organs/ blood would go everywhere, killing you. If that didn%26#039;t do it first, millions of bacteria would finish you off in about an hour.|||by the way i am not in fifth grade i just act immature like a fifth grader but i am an adult Report Abuse
|||skin protect against infection are localized infections caused by
bacteria or toxins that find their way into
your skin and infect deep skin tissues.
They often start out as reddened, tender
spots which then become hard, painful
nodules that fill with white blood cells
(pus) and form a %26quot;head.%26quot; The skin
surrounding a boil is often angry,
red and extremely sensitive.
If the boil does not erupt and drain
in some cases the skin must be lanced by
a physician to clean out the infection.
Some people suffer from repeated outbreaks
of boils (Furunculosis).|||Skin is slightly basic, which can help kill some harmful bacteria. The dead layer at the top also provides a barrier between you and the outside world, so bacteria can%26#039;t enter unless your skin is broken.
If you had no skin ( and somehow all your organs and things did not fall out and you did not bleed everywhere), your body would not be able to process waste, and you would poison yourself to death.|||Uh. Reason it out. Your skin is a physical barrier. If you have a cut, your skin is broken. You have to wash that off with soap or water because it means your insides are being exposed to germs.|||everyone has skin....you would die if you didnt DUHHH its simple rofl!!
