How do you keep dry skin at the tip of fingers from cracking and bleeding in the winter?

I%26#039;ve seen a family member put bandages around the tips, but it doesn%26#039;t always work. Any other ideas?|||Put vaseline on your hands each night and sleep with cotton gloves (or socks you don%26#039;t care for). That is a beauty secret to always keeping your hands soft and supple.|||Vaseline, Petroleum jelly and cover your hands a night.|||Super glue works but the best thing would be to find a lotion that helps this. Kerasal is a brand that works well. There is also this stuff called %26quot;Miracle Hand Repair.%26quot; I got it at Bed, Bath and Beyond but I am sure they sell it other places too.|||you can use any lip guard available in various flavours, to be applied like lipsticks. this really helps during winter.|||You might consider increasing the amount of oil you consume, such as olive oil or hemp seed oil for example.

Consuming healthy oils can promote more supple skin and reduce the cracking that occurs on your fingers.

External lotions and/or creams can help temporarily and may sometimes be your most effective option. Consider Aquaphor or any of the others mentioned.

But seriously, if you don%26#039;t get enough natural oils in your diet I would consider supplementing your intake with a couple tablespoons of a natural, healthy oil. Ask your pharmacist or family doctor for recommendations.|||I apply white vinegar to my legs and hands every night before going to bed and it helps. You can apply any time you need it and it does help with the cracking....and I%26#039;ve had lots of expensive meds filled and tried...this works as well or better!|||my husband uses corn huskers lotion you can buy it at wal-mart|||This is one of the most common skin types. Dry skin types have to be extremely careful to protect their skin.Yogurt-honey combination helps dry skin. Make an egg face pack with a yolk, a teaspoon of honey, a tablespoon of milk powder. This is beneficial to dry skin types. There are many helpful tips to cure dry skin at http://useinfo-dryskin.blogspot.com

How can I get the skin on my fingers to quit peeling?

For years, my hands have had peeling skin around the nailbed; it%26#039;s worse of course after I shower or do dishes (unfortunately our new apartment doesn%26#039;t have a dishwasher so this doesn%26#039;t help).

Lotions only mask the problem. Drinking more water helps some but it still does it. Any suggestions?|||Drink even MORE water. I know someone with this problem and doctors gave him hand cream and told him to sleep with gloves on while wearing the cream, but the only thing that is really working for him is to carry around water bottles and drink water all day long.|||i had the same problem and i dont know how well it will work for you but buy some mineral treated M water

its a mineral water that rehydrates really well and your skin is most likely dry and oily just drink some of this water and rub it into your skin as well

EDIT

this water isnt cheap so dont drink the whole bottle

its atomic make-up will mix with regular bottled water so just mix a cap-full with drinking water and then you will have a whole new bottle of m-water|||Try for a week to use a very mild soap for dishes and at the same time, especially at night or when your hands are out of water use a topical creme for athletes feet . I had the same thing for years, but it%26#039;s not the same fungus as your feet get but it works. It comes in a yellow tube and smells kinda yucky and the creme is white, but you could use lamasil creme if you prefer.

How can i make my skin whiter or lighter?

Is there a way to do this?|||drink glutathione capsules. it is an antioxidant which has a side effect of whitening. it%26#039;s very effective... kinda expensive though..|||just dont get in the sun and if u do wear long sleeve tight stuff dont woorry trust me i do it all the time it workd good luck!!!!!!!!!:)|||Ask Michael Jackson|||why lighter?|||Love Yourself :)|||why???|||why would you want to look like a ghost?

i dont know....... stay out of the sunlight and use 50spf!!

How do I improve my skin and get rid of redness?

Certain parts of my face particularly my nose and sometimes around my eyes have a reddish tone to them. What could I do to get rid of that?|||I would say don`t cover it completely. toning it down is fine, otherwise you`ll look too fake or washed out! Your face could be red for a few reasons.. Such as skin sensitivities, your skin being dry (even if it doesn`t feel or look dry, it could be dehydrated which can cause your skin to be aggravated, thus turning it reddish pink), or that your face just tends to flush more than others. Which mine does sadly.

Anyways, I would suggest that you look at your cleansing products and moisturizers, and make sure that they are good for sensitive skin. Also, make sure that you moisturize at night with something with a bit more moisture in it, since that may help reduce redness (does for me!) and then don`t be too aggressive on your face. You could try a neutralizing product, such as one by Lorac, or a green primer then apply foundation over top. Or find a foundation that is more pigmented.|||Hi!

Do you have rosacea or is it just general redness?

Assuming general redness, try using a green tinted concealer first under your foundation. It might sound scary, but the green tint are used to cover up any redness and to even out the skin tone before you put on the concealer. And not to worry, the foundation will cover up the green tint!

Actually everydayminerals.com has a free sample kit you can order online, you just have to pay for shipping ($3). They have a green tinted concealer you can choose. Hope it works for you!

If you have rosacea, the green concealer also helps but just make sure it doesnt irritate your skin. And don%26#039;t forget the sunscreen!!|||Good skin starts from the inside out, but if you%26#039;d rather have a quick fix, I recommend using a gentle face wash and following up with a fragrance free lotion. If you want makeup to cover it up, Physicians Formula has a green powder that neutralizes redness, but it doesn%26#039;t actually look green|||Try skin ID by neutrogena. its an acne kit made just for you by a servey you take online. it works for me. also foundation and moisturizer.|||well if you use foundation dont put to much on it glogs your pours

and wash your face daily , trust me it will help

hope i helped =D|||Use face lotion :), that should help you out! Also, get a little sun. That can get rid of acne and redness.|||try foundation?

How do I keep my skin from getting used to my acne medication?

I heard your skin gets used to the things you put on it over time and I believe this too because I notice at the end of my bottle of face wash, it%26#039;s not doing much. What can I do to keep this from happening?|||usually, your skin gets use to the chemicals and ingredients of the facial products in about 2 years...this usually means, you need to change your acne medication because you%26#039;re skin is no longer reacting to it.

as for the bottle of face wash, maybe you should shake it several times to get all the formula mix well before putting in your face because maybe, all the chemicals are accumulating on the bottom of the bottle.|||it works,

it%26#039;s just not showing,

don%26#039;t worry,

you%26#039;re just not looking for as radical of results anymore,

but to answer your question,
