Are the skin and bones in tinned Salmon bad for you?

I%26#039;ve tried to separate it but it%26#039;s a pain in the a**e to do so.|||actually all parts in canned salmon are edible and the bones are a really good source of calcium, phosphorus , magnesium and glucosamine . the skin is fine and probably contains some of the omega-3 and 6 fatty acids that are beneficial . so flake it all together with a fork and enjoy one of the tastiest superfoods around .|||they would not be allowed to leave them in if they were|||No but not pleasant|||Not likley. If they were they would not be there in the first place !|||No, but they play havoc with the salmon they came from.|||Mash the tinned tuna with a squirt of vinegar and black pepper and mash it all together with skin and bone...It%26#039;s all really good for you.

Best of all... cut cucumber really fine and soak in vinegar and then make salmon and cucumber sandwiches,,,I can%26#039;t think of anything nicer...yummie!!|||No its totally edible, but I try to peel all the skin off and take out as many of the bones as possible.... I love Salmon cakes!! yummm|||some big shops like marks and spencer asda and sainsbury do skinless and boneless salmon in tins makes life a lot easier|||It%26#039;s all good....the bones are a good source of calcium %26amp; the skin has essential vitamins %26amp; minerals...%26amp; the bones are soft so no problemo.....enjoy|||No, but if you try eating the tinlid, I guess you may turn metallic.|||Nah they are both harmless enough

the skin in fact is very tasty

the only problem could be if a bone gets stuck in the throat, which can be uncomfortable but dry toast should clear it.

but it isnt going to do you any harm
