How can you keep your skin glowing during the winter?

im new to WA and its alot colder than im used to.and my skin doesn%26#039;t as tan and glowing as usual.obiviously.but when i see other females their skin looks great.how can i keep glowing attractive skin during the winter.|||i know someone who jumped into a nuclear acid waste %26amp; her skin was glowing

LOL!!!!!!!!!|||Here are some of the things I do to combat dry flat dead skin in the winter. First and most important take short showers. The longer your in the shower the dryer your skin is going to be. Second is use lotion all over. Luberderm works great and pardon me if I spelled that wrong. My Third suggestion would be to get a humidifier or a vaporizer. A vaporizer can be real cheap or very expensive depending on what kind you want and what it does is produce a very small jet of steam to keep the air in the room from drying out. I believe the hot steam vaporizers are less expensive but if there are kids in the house then you want a cool steam one instead for safety reasons. They are very quiet and super awesome.|||I don%26#039;t do anything. I just always glow. Spend time outside despite the temperature.|||some ppl skin gets dry durning winter try using lotion

What exactly happens to your skin during a burn?

Please be descriptive.

P.S The longer the answer the better and if you got the information from a website please put that down too. Thank you for your time everyone.|||Normally the skin will dry out and then start to melt, like a chip if you leave it in the oven too long it will go brown and soft like when you burn your hand.

How do i stop my skin itching so much after a bath or shower?

My wife would like to know how to stop her skin from itching so much after a bath or shower. As soon as she begins to dry herself the itching starts and lasts for about 30 minutes. She says its unbearable. Any advice ( apart from the obvious dont have a bath or shower ). Thanks|||It%26#039;s soap or water. If she has problem even without soap, then it%26#039;s water. Does she have problems when she goes out of town and use different water? There are some water softening device you can install for water supply in your house, but, it%26#039;s rather expensive. Google and see if there is some kind of water softening you can buy just for shower head.|||IF the water is too hot,it can lead to itching when you get out -I have known this for years and years.

T.he other option is to dry her down and then rub moisturiser over her whole body, lanoline tends to dry out her skin and it may be that her skin is just too dehydrated after a shower|||well some people do not need to shower everyday. If she chooses to take a shower everyday maybe she should use a soap that is more mild live Ivory. Maybe she should go to the doctor and see if it is dermatitis condition. In the winter unless she is very active and sweats a lot she may not need to shower as much. If she does continue to shower maybe it is her shampoo that is causing it or the cream rinse. Make sure she stands and rinses very well. Also not use extremely hot water another solution. When all else fails go get it checked out.|||My grandma has the same problem and I got her Curel. You can also use Eucerin, they both work great. My boyfriend and my friend also use them. They have eczema and both moisturisers work for them.

Some people have answered it%26#039;s because of hot or cold water, it doesn%26#039;t matter how cold or hot the water is, you will itch if you have eczema regardless. I hope you take my advice and try Curel or Eucerin. Good luck!|||she might need to use a mousterizing body lotion after bathing or showering..|||Try lotion the soaps maybe washing away the positve oils in her skin causing her body to itch seems to worse during winter|||I found I%26#039;d get itchy when I made the water too hot.

How can I improve my skin and hair after long illness has left it looking dull and lifeless?

I need to restore tone and condition and prefer natural remedies.

I seem to have aged about 30 years in the last 6 months and I%26#039;d like to take at least some of those years off.|||Buy some natural oils, like Coconut, Rosehip %26amp; Sweet Almond.

You will apply the coconut oil to your hair.

Warm it in the microwave first and then comb it through your hair, then apply some cling film over your hair to prevent it from making your clothes oily.

Wait about 1 hour at least before washing it off in the shower, it may take 2 or 3 shampoos! Make sure its all out otherwise your hair will appear greasy.

Coconut oil does wonders for the condition and health of your hair and you will find it makes it much easier to style afterwards.

Apply this perhaps every 2 weeks for best results.

For your skin, i recommend rubbing rosehp oil into your face, and spend a good amount of time massaging it in,apply daily. It inproves the condition of your skin, fades scars and evens the tone. Rosehip is one of the key ingediants in alot of very expensive face creams and oils.

Then massage sweet almond oil into your body (or get someone else too!) this will soften and condition your skin and make it glow. Apply every day after your shower.

Feel free to research the benefits of using the oils and then make your own decisions.|||Eat really healthfully. All natural foods. No chemicals. Avoid anything in boxes or cans. Stick for fresh, organic foods.

For your skin, make sure to exfoliate 1-3 times a week. No more than that. After you exfoliate, use a brightening mask. You can find them at Sephora, or Sephora.com.

For your hair, Biotin is shown to help hair growth. My mom took it after she had Cancer, and it helped her hair growth. But it makes the hair on the rest of your body grow, too. Haha. Vitamins really help. And try not to use any heat on your hair. How to have temporarily green skin for costume?

However, we have yet to find a way to imitate Elphaba%26#039;s (for the Amish, that%26#039;s the Wicked Witch of the West ;D) green skin. We want to be able to wash it off so that my friend can go to school the next day without any traces of green, but still affordable. And, of course, nonhazardous. It is also non-toxic for the most part, whereas some comercially- available face paints found at party stores can contain lead and other toxins.

Good Luck!

How do you fix dry skin on your face without getting pimples?

I kinda have dry skin at the moment, but everytime i put more lotion on it, pimples come up. So is there any way to have it well moisturized without getting pimples?|||Try different lotions, some will help you avoid pimples.

If you live in a colder area where the houses are heated, then your solution is really the air humidifier. Otherwise the air%26#039;s too dry and dries your skin. Air humidifier will make air more humid and your skin will feel much better. Small ones are sold everywhere (like, in Target, Bed Bath and Beyond, etc) for about $30.|||Use Cetaphil (not sure if it spelled Citafil or Cetaphil it is close to one of those) It is in a white bottle with blue writing. There is a lotion and face wash they are so gentle and they don%26#039;t cause breakouts. You don%26#039;t even have to wash the face wash off if you don%26#039;t want to it is wonderful.|||Be sure to use a dermatologist reccomended oil-free moisturizer like Purpose (you can find almost anywhere). Question %26quot;How can you get your face really smooth and clear, free of all blemishes, pimples and lessen or get rid of under eye bags/circles?%26quot;

My answer:

.%26quot;.....I%26#039;ve had incredible results massaging with essential oils. They are safe. Oils such as olive, grape seed or sweet almond are good and are suitable for every skin type. Quickly and permanently healed ALL of my many skin conditions, rid face of all blemishes gave me an even skin tone and a healthy and radiant skin. If you vigorously massage into skin, in just two days you will get dramatic results. Massage will tighten skin a lot in under eye area and thus greatly diminish or completely get rid of bags. The key is vigorous massaging. See this answer for more massaging, skin tightening info:

What can I do about the skin on my face being a shade darker than my neck?

My neck is white my face a little tan and my nose and cheeks are pinkish. I would like everything to be the same as my neck.

What products that I can buy at Target, Kmart, Walmart, etc can you recommend.

Does anyone know where I can find that pale green powder that is supposed to be worn under the makeup in order to even out skin tone for a decent price. Arbonne has one for $29 and that is just excessive to my budget.|||For the first question, you could try using a self tanner on your neck or you could try using a bronzer or a foundation. For the second, Physicians Formula makes a green cream (I%26#039;n not sure about a powder) to even out your skin tone. I think it%26#039;s about $8. Lumene also makes one, but it%26#039;s a little more expensive. CVS carries both.|||Skip the green powder. Go to the mall and find a good foundation that matches your tan. How does one develop a thick skin to withstand great betrayals in the workplace?

I have been told that I have to become a shark in order to swim with the sharks. It really is not in my nature. How do you handle great betrayals in the workplace?|||You never really %26quot;confide%26quot; in anyone but yourself - you build %26quot;alliances%26quot;, but know that any alliance can turn on you.

You don%26#039;t ever take anything personal - because it%26#039;s not about you, it%26#039;s about the position you%26#039;re in. Once you understand that, you can do anything your job requires you to do.|||Pray for your enemies. Ask God to bless them and they will leave you alone. Try it, it works.|||If you%26#039;re not a shark then perhaps you may want to think about not swimming in a shark tank. However, if you have no choice, here%26#039;s a few questions to consider:

Do you think you really need to be a shark to succeed?

Has the comment come out of you reacting to being %26#039;bitten%26#039; by one of these sharks?

If so, was it another shark who told you to toughen up?

Is there anything wrong with you you are as a person?

Is there anything wrong with how you go about your job?

Do you think that being nice or ethical is stopping you from getting ahead?

Do you really want to get ahead?

I%26#039;m not being rude or putting you down - sorry if it seems that way. I%26#039;m simply asking you some questions that might help you clarify where you are at the moment within yourself.

The other thing I%26#039;m trying (subtly) to point out is that it only matters what you think. It%26#039;s about you. You can%26#039;t own how others react to you or what they say, but you can control and own your own behaviour, your own reactions and your own thoughts and feelings and overall, you own who you are as a person.

You should only change if you feel it%26#039;s something you really can do or if it%26#039;s something you think you can deal with doing. Don%26#039;t change and then end up bitter, unhappy, resentful and lashing out or dealing with unhealthy addictions such as frequent, high amounts of alcohol.

It stinks, but for those of us who are particularly sensitive to barbs and judgements, we tend to somehow be open for this kind of behaviour in others. I guess that by not relying on co-workers or looking to them for happiness - that%26#039;s a start. Don%26#039;t make others responsible for your happiness. That%26#039;s all up to you.

One way you can overcome them is to remove the power they have over you. A way to do that is to consider that they may be reacting that way out of intimidation, our of fear or out of a desire to hurt someone and you%26#039;re simply the closest or easiest target. Understanding the behaviour of others or at least trying to understand it is one of the sure-fire ways I know of to let them go and stop the control they have over you.

Another way you can do it as well is to simply not react. You might be bristling and furious inside but by not reacting, you%26#039;re not giving them the satisfaction of reacting. And that lack of reaction will send a clear message that they don%26#039;t control you and they can%26#039;t provoke you - that%26#039;s what%26#039;ll get them to respect you and start to back off.

One final piece of assistance I offer is for you to remember that you%26#039;re not alone. Chances are that there are others you work with who are feeling like you. There%26#039;s a concept called %26#039;Professional Accommodation Syndrome%26#039; that was developed by Morrison. Morrison%26#039;s syndrome basically means that when you know there%26#039;s things in your workplace that are wrong and try to speak out you get shut down and eventually you withdraw and even though you know that the stuff that%26#039;s going on and the way you%26#039;re spoken to and treated is wrong, you%26#039;re sent a clear message that you can%26#039;t speak out so you either have to put up with it or leave.

I%26#039;m not sure if I%26#039;ve helped or hurt you, elightened you or confused you further but I wish you the best of luck - it%26#039;s a tricky situation and if nothing else, you%26#039;re not alone!|||Whatever woosies, be you. Don%26#039;t have any friends in the workplace. Do they pay you to work or socialize? I guess thats why I made it to be BOSS and you peons are still meat for the beast. Do your job, pay attention to detail, eat lunch alone take breaks alone, play your own role in this game. This is a job, not a god damned ice cream social. Putz%26#039;s make friends with them, what? you have no other friends?, then what is the problem, do your job and go home to hang out with your friends. I%26#039;d fire these people right now. Work is for people who want to get PAID!!!|||Set a better example for them. It%26#039;s that simple.

No guarantees that it will change their behavior, but it will definitely help your peace of mind if you don%26#039;t compromise on your most fundamental beliefs.

Also, the best way to deal with betrayal is not to trust people who don%26#039;t deserve your trust. Just be reasonably wary.|||Remember the song %26quot;Smiling Faces Sometimes:%26quot;

thanks bye tc ...|||I have only tried intensive, so I can only give you feedback on that.

I was struck with a moderate case of adult acne last fall. I have combo skin - normal cheeks and an oily center (I have a really oily nose).

I think EDM is a good brand and I liked the intensive formula because it really helped to hide my blemishes. It also didn%26#039;t give me too matte of a finish, so I had a nice glow. My only problems were that with this, my nose would get really oily mid-day, and it didn%26#039;t really last very long on my skin. By the end of an 8-hour day, the oily portions of my face would get splotchy.

Still, try the intensive formula out for yourself. Just be sure to use a good, oil-free primer (tip: use Monistat anti-chafing gel. It has the same ingredients as most primers and is super cheap. Don%26#039;t be scared by the name - you can find it with the other Monistat products but it%26#039;s actually for keeping your skin from chaffing).|||Try Physicians formula mineral makeup. How do i clean a sheep skin rug?

I have a small sheep skin rug that my son lies on and my lovely cat decided to wee on it.

What is the best way to clean it? Hot or cold water? Wool wash? Do i need to take it to a dry cleaner.

Thanks for any answers.|||1. Fill your tub with cold water, and add a small amount of baby shampoo (a cap full or so).

2. Place your sheepskin in the tub fleece side down.

3. Hand wash gently and rinse.

4. Remove the sheepskin and gently comb in one direction.

5. Lay flat, fleece side down. Or, hang it, but out of the sun.

6. When completely dry use the comb to fluff back to normal.

Tips

* Never use hot water or put in the dryer!

* Gently use a steel type pet brush.

* Do not use laundry soap, Woolite or bleach - the gentler the better.|||Concerning pet urine, I have found a good product called %26quot;Incredible%26quot; which will take the stain and odor of urine out of carpet. It is about $5.00 for a good sized bottle and since you only use a little, it will last a long time. If you can not find this product a good alternative is diluted white vinegar. Use about 1/4 cup of vinegar to a quart of water. You may have to blot the area several times with this mixture to get rid of the odor and stain.

Vinegar

Vinegar should lift the odor and it should be able to lift the stain. Could also try a raw potato for other stains ... A friend told me to take a raw potato - cut in half and rub into the stain

Nature%26#039;s Miracle makes a granular product that works unbelievably well for this purpose. Don%26#039;t use flour or powder, as you will have a mess. I%26#039;ve heard diatomaceous earth works well for this, but have not tried it.) Next, a 50:50 mixture of good old vinegar and water, doused on and blotted, blotted, blotted up. Also, depending on the size of the rug, a simple run under the faucet or hose with plenty of water usually works quite well. If the stain is not fresh, there are several options. Laundry detergent designed for baby diapers (Dreft) is good to wash out urine if the rug is washable; if not, apply an enzymatic cleaner as mentioned below, Finally, a last resort for us (due to the cost) is Simple Solution Carpet Shampoo (Not liquid or concentrate Simple Solution).

How can I heal my facial skin faster and keep it from being flakey on accutane?

How do you remove a permanent skin mole?

I have a tiny black mole on my cheekbone. Whether or not it%26#039;s a beauty mark, I think it looks ugly. Is there a way to remove it?|||Your doc shoud be able to remove that. I had one on my leg removed a few years ago. All she did was just freeze the area, and then but it out. A few dissolving stitches, and viola! No more mole. It only take a few minutes, but if it%26#039;s considered cosmetic, your insurance might not cover it, so check that out beforehand. Go and see a surgeon ( most family docs can do this). What they do is they numb the area of the mole with injection of Marcaine or other numbing agent usually ( this is the most painful, burning feel, but goes away in seconds) Then they will cut it out,;depending on the size of the mole, they will use either a CO2 laser to ablate it (leave a light dissapearing scar) or use some stitches to close the skin back up. After wards it will take a few days and you have no more mole. :) It only takes a few minutes and is painless after the numbing part!!! They usually sent the removed mole for a pathologist to make sure it is not cancerous. this is just a pre caution, more than likely it is not cancerous. If you deside againt removing it, please keep an eye on it for change in size and appearance. If it gets bigger go and see a doc. :) Good luck.|||Removal Of Moles

The doctor may remove a mole by anesthetizing the area and cutting it off with a blade or with electric surgery. Sometimes the mole and its surrounding portion are removed totally from the body and the sample is sent to lab for examination. Moles can be removed for reasons such as suspected melanoma, cosmetic appearance, or plain nuisance.|||Only a doctor should do that. You can cover it up with cover stick you can buy at any drug store.|||Yes. See a dermatologist. They do this all the time.|||Treatment

If your doctor takes a tissue sample of the mole and finds it to be cancerous, the entire mole and a margin of normal tissue around it needs to be removed. Usually a mole that has been removed won%26#039;t reappear. If it does, see your doctor promptly.

Treatment of most moles usually isn%26#039;t necessary. For cosmetic reasons, a mole can be removed in several ways:

Shave excision. In this method, your doctor numbs the area around a mole and then uses a small blade to shave off the mole close to your skin.

Punch biopsy. Your doctor may remove a mole with a small incision or punch biopsy technique, which uses a small cookie-cutter-like device.

Excisional surgery. In this method, your doctor cuts out the mole and a surrounding margin of healthy skin.

These procedures are usually performed in the office of your doctor or dermatologist and take only a short time. Learn more at:

Whats the best way to skin a pheasant?

I know the normal pluck it gut it. But is there a way to cut the skin and pull off the skin and feathers in one?|||check the URL .. here is one way

Lie the bird on its back and pinch the skin and feathers on the highest part of the breast, lifting as you do so. Now push a sharp knife through the skin and feathers between your fingers and the breast, making a small cut. The skin can now be easily pulled back, feathers and all, exposing the breast. Cut the skin from your starting point down to the end of the feathers on both legs, and pull the skin of them as well. You should by now have exposed the entire breast and both legs, which by my reckoning is 90% of the usable flesh on the bird. Take your knife and cut around the tops of both legs. Push them downwards and outwards and the hip bone should be visible. Cut here, and the legs come off. Run the knife as close to the breast-bone as you can on both sides, and slowly fillet out the breasts. You can now throw away the carcass and the feet.

Doing this means that roast pheasant is no longer a possibility, but it%26#039;s so simple and quick that it%26#039;s a small price to pay. Instead, slice the breasts thinly, salt and fry the slices in a little good olive oil and sweet sherry. Let the sherry caramelize on the slices, and the dish is done. The legs must be casseroled; I do them with Dijon mustard.|||Yes, this is recommended if the bird has been badly shot up or you just can%26#039;t be bothered to pluck it.

Slit the skin at the breastbone, insert your finger and just work the skin off the flesh. You may have to pluck a few feathers off first to make a space.

The bird will taste better if you casserole it as without the skin, roasting could make it too dry.

Cook it in red wine - Very nice.|||Yes you can. I knew a butcher who would only skin and not pluck and have seen this done.

How do you heal cracked skin in fingertips?

My skin cracks in many of my fingertips, it hurts like crazy and no cream that I tried really worked. It gets worse when it is colder. Thank you for any ideas.|||Try vaseline. My grandfather had hands like that, so dry they would crack. What he would do is put vaseline on his hands at night and then put socks over his hands and sleep that way. Really helped keeping his hands from cracking.

Also, wear gloves when you have to work in water (doing dishes, etc).|||There%26#039;s a couple of things you can do. It will help it not to crack anymore so it starts to heal.|||there is this stuff that you can put over the cracks called like new skin or something, and it works really well. What could a cause of skin peeling on the inner thigh near the vagina?

I don%26#039;t know exactly how to describe this, but in the inner thigh region my skin is peeling. I have been using diaper rash cream. So now on these inside corners of my legs and spreading on to like, the skin of my nether regions, I have not a rash, but peeling skin that is reddish/purple. Is it normal for my skin around my mouth to get dry and flaky after using Differin for three days?

My skin is oily on the forehead and dryish on my ch inn. My cheeks are clear of acne and my nose has blackheads so my doctor prescribed an acne medication, Differin. Now the skin around my mouth is dry and flaky, especially under my lip on my chin. The dry spots are extremely itchy constantly. Does that mean it%26#039;s working or is this baddd?|||Your lips are the most suseptable to become cracking, dry, flaky, When you take medication like Differin, what it does is it dehydrates your skin which causes that. if anything i wouldn%26#039;t worry to much about it and if it itches bad, a little moisturizer is not going to turn you into a pizza, no offense. But yeah, that%26#039;s my opinion. If it bother%26#039;s you further, consult your doctor..|||I would stop using the product. Wash your face daily. In the morning wash it with warm running water, dry your face with a new towel. When ever that happened to my skin i would apply Vaseline to the dry area every morning. Good Luck. when ur skin is dry is causes ur skin to produce more oily so ur skin can try and get rid of the dryness but this actually only causes u to break out even more soooo dont let ur skin become dry..trust me had this problem many times lol

Keep it simple, cleanse and exfoliate once per week to remove dead skin cells as this is what causes pores to block and then skin problems. Keep your hands off your face, we tend to always touch our faces, as this spreads bacteria. Use Natural products, you do not need to add chemicals and there are great products available now.|||Nothing, Yes nothing. If it aint broke why are you trying to fix it.

How Can I Keep My Skin Healthy During This Winter Season?

Not only is it this time of the year, but I am on the high-school swim team and swim in a chlorinated pool for an hour and a half, six days a week. Something like %26quot;Lack... %26quot; and a number after it. It is sold at my local drugstore I noticed recently. Ask a pharmacist if they know. It lasts a long time. You only need a little bit, your skin will suck it right in , and you would never know you were wearing lotion at all. It works so well and is SO soothing. Make up is the easiest and most convenience way to go.

How about putting up thick foundation that match your skin color type on your cheek during your big day? That will definitely reduce the redness effect.

Things you can do now is just relax. Drink more water and eat more berries as they are good for your skin.

Congratulations on your upcoming big day.
