How do you heal cracked skin in fingertips?

My skin cracks in many of my fingertips, it hurts like crazy and no cream that I tried really worked. It gets worse when it is colder. Thank you for any ideas.|||Try vaseline. My grandfather had hands like that, so dry they would crack. What he would do is put vaseline on his hands at night and then put socks over his hands and sleep that way. Really helped keeping his hands from cracking.

Also, wear gloves when you have to work in water (doing dishes, etc).|||There%26#039;s a couple of things you can do. Try to file some of the skin around the crack down so the crack isn%26#039;t as deep. It will heal easier. Also you could put a dab of crazy glue on the crack. It will help it not to crack anymore so it starts to heal.|||there is this stuff that you can put over the cracks called like new skin or something, and it works really well. After the cracks go away, then you just need to make sure to put on lotion before you do anything in like cold weather and what not.|||I use this thing that come in a nail kit. It has sharp edges and use use it to cut the hard/dry skin away. It really helps me but if you want better results the next time you get a manicure or a pedicure ask them to help you with it. They are like the nail WIZARDS!!! Haha|||wear gloves and get a humidifyer while you sleep
