For years, my hands have had peeling skin around the nailbed; it%26#039;s worse of course after I shower or do dishes (unfortunately our new apartment doesn%26#039;t have a dishwasher so this doesn%26#039;t help).
Lotions only mask the problem. Drinking more water helps some but it still does it. Any suggestions?|||Drink even MORE water. I know someone with this problem and doctors gave him hand cream and told him to sleep with gloves on while wearing the cream, but the only thing that is really working for him is to carry around water bottles and drink water all day long.|||i had the same problem and i dont know how well it will work for you but buy some mineral treated M water
its a mineral water that rehydrates really well and your skin is most likely dry and oily just drink some of this water and rub it into your skin as well
EDIT
this water isnt cheap so dont drink the whole bottle
its atomic make-up will mix with regular bottled water so just mix a cap-full with drinking water and then you will have a whole new bottle of m-water|||Try for a week to use a very mild soap for dishes and at the same time, especially at night or when your hands are out of water use a topical creme for athletes feet . I had the same thing for years, but it%26#039;s not the same fungus as your feet get but it works. It comes in a yellow tube and smells kinda yucky and the creme is white, but you could use lamasil creme if you prefer.
