How to clean friut skin to get rid of harmful chemical?

I like to eat friuts with skin, but am afried of chemcial residuals,

Any suggestions?|||Just peel it. The chemicals are in the skin pretty securely.

I%26#039;m not sure if bleach water will take off chemicals but it does clean off the bacteria.|||At the grocery store, there%26#039;s a fruit and veggie wash. I can%26#039;t remember in what section they had it. It%26#039;s a clear liquid in a spray bottle. Bottle is about the size of Windex. You spray the fruit and veggies, and then scrub and rinse. The spray breaks down the wax like on apples and cucumbers. The wax can contain chemical residues and regular washing will not get rid of it. Also, I try to buy organic and I found this list online:

These you should buy organic: Apples, bell peppers, celery, cherries, imported grapes, nectarines, peaches, pears, potatoes, red raspberries, spinach, and strawberries.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s own lab testing reveals that even after washing, some fruits and vegetables consistently carry much higher levels of pesticide residue than others. Based on an analysis of more than 100,000 U.S. government pesticide test results, researchers at the Environmental Working Group (EWG), a research and advocacy organization based in Washington, D.C., have developed the “dirty dozen” fruits and vegetables, above, that they say you should always buy organic if possible because their conventionally grown counterparts tend to be laden with pesticides. Among fruits, nectarines had the highest percentage testing positive for pesticide residue. Peaches and red raspberries had the most pesticides (nine) on a single sample. Among vegetables, celery and spinach most often carried pesticides, with spinach having the highest number (10) on a single sample.|||Cleaning the fruit with water will do the trick, or buy a cleaning solution for fruit and veggies (most stores sell it in the veggie isles)...or go organic:O)|||Wash it under cold, running water.

Thanks for asking your Q! I enjoyed taking the time to answer it!

VTY,

Yes, that is my real last name!|||well do a little research ...

the skin of your fruit is NO different than yours..

GOD is very simple.

You got dirt on you your skin it will shed

SO does the fruit,, the fuzz on peaches,, and the wax on apples etc

I can%26#039;t list them all

use your logic

TODAY there is NO harmful pesticide sprays they must all decompose within a short time and be safe for human contact..

SO much has been made and hundreds of laws passed to protect you

AND you still reject them out of ignorance.

OK|||just clean it like you are cleaning meat|||Buy organic! Then you never have to worry. Some fruits you can%26#039;t really clean all those chemicals off. Apples, for instance... the insecticides get into the skin, or worse. Buying organic is the best way. It%26#039;s worth paying a little extra, and most supermarkets sell organic fruits and vegetables now.

(TC.. stop answering questions in the Food %26amp; Drink category... you%26#039;re always giving wrong information)
