How to relieve skin after they come in contact wit paint thinner?

My husband spilled Lycra paint thinner on his hand, he has flushed it with soap and water, but nothing has stopped the burn. Any suggestions?|||Keep it running under water for a few more minutes- no soap.|||What does it say on the bottle/tin? If you have followed that then I would seek medical advice. Hope he is ok soon :-)
